The Celtics head back on the road for games in Washington, Chicago and Memphis. But the road isn't really their concern. Just one of their losses has come away from home. Getting things better at the Garden is their goal. "I think we're where we want to be, especially on the road," said Rajon Rondo. "The key at home is getting off to good starts. We've done a great job on the road, but now we have to carry it over, keep going, and keep getting better."
Doc Rivers likes the fact his team is not satisfied.
"We're (9-1 on the road) and it's great," he said. "But I read the comments from some of our guys in San Antonio, and what I liked is that a lot of them weren't happy with how we played. Those are good signs for your team. We're winning games and we're very happy with the record, but we're not a finished product either."
Asked what he's learning about his team, Paul Pierce said, "I don't know if I'm learning anything. I know we're just continuing to get better and continuing to build. It's a long season, and that's the key for us. We don't get excited because it's a seven-game winning streak. The whole goal for us is to continue to play. We learn from wins and losses and continue to get better.
"We know what it takes to be on the road. We're not new to this. We all have the mindset that we have to take care of business."
Said Marquis Daniels, "Obviously, our rebounding has to get better. We have to continue to get better on the road and protect our homecourt. It's execution. There's a lot of things we can get better at."
CELTICS 98, BUCKS 89: The Celtics were tied with 4:51 left but pulled away for a home win Tuesday night. Kevin Garnett had 25 points and nine rebounds, but it was Rajon Rondo who erupted late and finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and 13 assists.
