--The Celtics are reportedly bringing back G Sam Cassell for another season. Cassell said he had agreed to a new deal. He also revealed that he will have the option of joining the Celts' coaching staff after the season. The 38-year-old point guard was expected to be a key veteran addition last season, but he fell out of the main rotation in the playoffs.
--The Celtics aren't backing away from the pressure to repeat as champions. "We've been talking about that since the day the season ended," said Danny Ainge. "That's the challenge. It's always a challenge. When you have this kind of success, the challenge is to remember how you got there. Our objective is to remember how we got there."
