--F Kevin Garnett looks fine after two games. He's coming off right knee surgery but doesn't appear impaired. "Physically, I'm OK," he said. "I'd like to be better, and through the course of the season, I will be. I don't have any hesitation when it comes to playing. Rhythm-wise, I'm not there yet, but that's a process." His teammates aren't concerned.
"I didn't expect him to look any different," G Ray Allen said. "I'm sure he has a different disposition and gait than what he showed out there, but he's doing what he knows he has to do. He settled in fine."

There on the television was the beginning of the Lakers' ring ceremony.
"That's muscle memory," said Doc Rivers. "You want to look at it. We're not the champs. I don't lose sight of that. We're not the champs. The ring ceremony is taking place somewhere else. This (isn't) ring night for us."
QUOTE TO NOTE: "You see up there? There's only 17 of them. I think we need another one." -- F Paul Pierce, referencing the Garden championship banners when speaking to the crowd before the home opener.
