--It's pretty clear that coach Doc Rivers is still not happy with the way his club is playing. He was asked earlier in the week if a 10-4 record was what he had in mind. "I don't know about that," he said. "I don't go by records, honestly. I'd rather be 14-0. But I don't like losing three home games. If it was 10-4 and we'd lost four road games or three road games, I don't know. But when you lose three home games that bothers you more. "But it's early. So whether we are or whether we're not (satisfied with the record), we still have work to do."
Rivers then hit on a key point.
"I think at times we think we have a switch that we can just turn on and off," he said. "And I think we're learning right now that we don't have that switch."
--The Celtics made 11 of their first 12 shots against the Raptors, but their defense was so poor that all it got them was a tie during the first period.
"We were just having a feel good game at that point," said Doc Rivers. "You score, pat them on the back and they score. At one point that's what it looked like. It was amazing. We called it buddy ball.
"I didn't like it. Really the first four minutes was really frustrating because you think you're looking at your team and they have great energy, and I thought we did. But it was only on that end (offensive). So that wasn't what you wanted.
"It is funny. At halftime, I said, 'Hey, first team that plays defense wins, guys.' And in the third quarter we were terrific."
