"Another win in L.A," said Ray Allen as he accepted the trophy. The line did not go over well with the Los Angeles crowd, but the Celts got their due. --The Celtics signed free agent C Patrick O'Bryant, meaning reports of a poor tryout session with the club were false.
"I thought he had a fantastic workout with us," said Danny Ainge. "The coaches were all really excited about the possibility of working with him."
The general manager wouldn't discuss contract particulars, but according to league sources, O'Bryant will get a two-year deal at the minimum.
O'Bryant was the ninth overall pick in the 2006 draft by Golden State, but he averaged just 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds in 40 appearances with the Warriors over two seasons.
