Boston Celtics Roster Report 2009-01-30

Boston Celtics Roster Report 2009-01-30
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Rajon Rondo, Shooting guard Ray Allen, Small forward Paul Pierce, Power forward Kevin Garnett, Center Kendrick Perkins. Bench -- Guard Eddie House, Center Leon Powe, Forward Glen Davis, Guard Gabe Pruitt, Guard Tony Allen, Guard Bill Walker, Center Patrick O'Bryant.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Tony Allen returned after missing 11 games with a strained right ankle. He had 10 points and eight rebounds in 23 minutes Wednesday, making all five of his shots from the floor.

--G Eddie House made 8-of-9 treys against Sacramento, giving him an incredible run of 22-for-31 from beyond the arc in the last four games. His teammates are campaigning for him to be in the three-point shootout during All-Star Weekend.

"He needs to be in the three-point contest," said F Kevin Garnett.

--G Rajon Rondo had 24 points in just 29 minutes Wednesday. He made 10 of 15 shots from the floor, but he was also very willing to move the ball. He also had a game-high nine assists. (Paul Pierce had a 1-for-5 shooting night, but he had eight assists.)

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Brian Scalabrine could be out two weeks after suffering two concussions in three days. The first was Sunday when he took an elbow to the chin from Dallas F Dirk Nowitzki. He sat out practice Monday, but was hit in the head by Celtics' reserve C Patrick O'Bryant while going for a rebound in Tuesday's workout.
