Boston Celtics Roster Report 2009-03-01

Boston Celtics Roster Report 2009-03-01
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Rajon Rondo, Shooting guard Ray Allen, Small forward Paul Pierce, Power forward Glen Davis, Center Kendrick Perkins. Bench -- Guard Eddie House, Center Leon Powe, Forward Mikki Moore, Guard Stephon Marbury.

PLAYER NOTES:

--F Brian Scalabrine continues to get neurological tests in the wake of the strained neck he suffered last Monday. The fact he also had two recent concussions is also playing a part in the process.

--F Glen Davis had 18 points in 25 minutes. He's averaging 16 points starting the last two games in place of the injured Kevin Garnett.

--G Rajon Rondo is averaging 17 assists in two games against the Pacers in Boston. His previous career-high also came against Indy back in December. Rondo had nine of those assists in the third quarter, falling three short of Bob Cousy's team record, which was attained 50 years to the day earlier against Minneapolis.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Tony Allen will be out eight weeks after surgery to repair his left thumb on Feb. 18.

--F Kevin Garnett strained his right knee Thursday in Utah. He will be out two to three weeks from Feb. 21.

--F Brian Scalabrine suffered a strained neck against Denver Monday. He will miss at least the next game.
