--G Ray Allen has been playing a lot of golf this summer. "I've probably played maybe every other day," he said. "I live right on the course in Connecticut. In the summertime, you can tee off at 4 or 5 (in the afternoon) and get it in easy."
But he insists that every morning begins with basketball conditioning.
--F Glen Davis was throwing basketballs to the crowd at a Lowell Spinners baseball game. The Spinners are the Boston Red Sox' Class A affiliate.
--F Bill Walker has spent the summer in Boston working on his game. He's also become the go-to guy for the Celtics' community relations department, appearing at numerous events.
DRAFT PICK:
Lester Hudson, G, 6-3, Tennessee-Martin (second round, No. 58 overall) -- Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year in his junior and senior years. Set conference scoring record in senior year. Second in the nation (27.5 ppg) behind Stephen Curry. There have been comparisons to Eddie House, but the Celtics think he can handle the ball much better and, thus, play the point. They had him rated much higher than this spot.
