Speaking about the Raptors defensive lapses in the past two games, Chris Bosh made an interesting observation Monday night in Boston.
"I think sometimes we're too worried about defensive three-second calls," Bosh said. "I mean, if they call it, it's only one point. I'll camp in there all night. They'll have to call me on it." Bosh is well aware that the Celtics, one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, are regularly called for the three-second infraction under their own basket and feels the Raps can steal a page from of their book.
"You have to stay with it," Bosh said. "I think we can learn from it and I think we're getting better at it."
Rookie sensation
The Chicago Bulls may be struggling right now as they head into Toronto for tonight's game with the Raptors but they do possess rookie Derrick Rose, a point guard that regularly gives the Raptors problems. Rose is averaging 16.7 points and 6.2 assists per game. It's his ability to penetrate with quickness that gives the Raptors trouble.
The Bulls also arrive on the verge of getting back to full health. Forward Luol Deng and guard Kirk Hinrich both returned to the Bulls in Monday's loss to Portland. Hinrich had missed 30 games with a right thumb injury, while Deng was sidelined eight games with a sprained left ankle. Neither player is 100% yet but they're one game closer to that point following Monday's return.
