BOSTON (AP) - A "technical error" in Saturday night's game between the Bulls and the Celtics brought Chicago one point closer - during a timeout, several hours after the original shot.

Boston led 89-83 - at least that's what the scoreboard read - with 5:44 remaining in the fourth when the public address announcer said that a first-half 3-pointer by Ben Gordon had been incorrectly scored a 2-pointer. One point was added to the Bulls' score.

Officials can use video replay to check whether a shot is from beyond the arc or not, but it is supposed to come at the first break after the basket.

The basket in question was apparently Gordon's shot with 8:32 left in the first quarter that unofficially made the score 13-6. It was called a 23-footer on the score sheet, which also noted that it was reviewed at the next break, with 3:37 left in the quarter.
